Contribute to the Lincolnshire & Fenlands Flood Map

A community archive of the floods that have shaped our landscape.

Contribute

Flooding has long been part of life in Lincolnshire and the Fenlands. Many people hold photographs, videos or memories of past floods that rarely make it beyond family albums or local conversations.

The Lincolnshire & Fenlands Flood Map brings those stories together in one place. By adding your experience, you’ll help create a shared record of how water has influenced our communities over time.

Every contribution — a single image, a short video or a written memory — enriches our understanding of the places we live in and the experiences we carry.

Anyone can take part. It only takes a few minutes.

1. Open the submission form where you can share your story, photos or videos.

2. Tell us where the flood happened

Give a postcode, address or a description of the location.
If you're unsure, an approximate location is fine.

3. Upload your photos or videos

You can submit older material, recent images or anything that documents a flood event.
(Please only upload content you have permission to share.)

4. Share a short description

Tell us what happened, what you remember or how the event affected you.
Long or short — it’s completely up to you.

5. Choose how your contribution is shared

You can add your name, remain anonymous or ask for your submission to stay private.

6. We review and add it to the public map

Your entry will appear on the Lincolnshire & Fenlands Flood Map after review, ensuring the archive remains clear, accurate and respectful.
